Responsible for receiving, storing, assigning, staging, and shipping of all product materials within the designated warehouse areas.
Must be able to carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds.
Ability to safely operate powered industrial truck, operate a stacker, and a electric hand truck.
Receive all assigned products, transport to proper location, store, and inspect package appearance, and input identifiers or codes into the inventory system.
Read and follow customer orders, specified on delivery note to determine product to be shipped.
Must be able to comply with all safety regulations and procedures applicable to a chemical plant environment.
Regular reliable attendance and flexibility to work varied shifts and/or overtime as needed in all warehouses.
Must be physical fit to handle required work-load.
Must have good computer skills.
Obtain order information from a batch card.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Work requires whole body flexibility, coordination, balance and agility including walking, bending, lifting, reaching and climbing.
Must be capable of working "required" shifts and overtime when needed.
May have respiratory and skin exposure to a variety of chemicals that are used or manufactured throughout the job site.
Refer to MSDS for hazard rating/handling precautions for the materials to be sampled and loaded.
May work with Order & Planning functions and Transportation functions to have proper trailer spotted and loaded.
May call the dispatcher after trailer is loaded to have it moved to a parking lot or to another building to have load completed. For some full loads, the outside carrier is contacted to pick up the trailer.
May obtain or prepare Bills of Lading, Gate Passes, Packing List, Certificate of Analysis, etc. for carriers.
Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must be able to read and write, follow written and verbal instructions, and have strong communication skills.
Must have good computer skills and ability to learn required software packages.
Driver's license in good standing will be required to obtain stacker license through company, and license must remain in good standing in order to operate a stacker.
