Job Description:
Tate, a global provider of innovative raised access flooring,
structural ceilings, and modular prefabricated aisle containment
systems, is opening a new manufacturing facility in Russell County,
Virginia. Basic Purpose The Maintenance Mechanical Technician
installs and maintains facility equipment and machinery in order to
maintain required production levels under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Possesses the skills and knowledge of the Maintenance Mechanic
position.
- Programs Variable Frequency Drives or Servo motor drives.
- Follows all Company safety rules and regulations including LOTO
and wears all required PPE.
- Troubleshoots PLC programs and robotics.
- Reads and understands maintenance work orders.
- Accurately performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly
preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery as
required per established PM programs and completes required
paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Mentors and/or trains existing and/or new maintenance
employees.
- Relieves other employees in instances of breaks, absenteeism,
vacation, or other production requirements.
- Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety
protocols.
- Able to work in a team environment to include relieving other
associates in instances of breaks, absenteeism, vacation or other
production requirements.
- Performs any other duties as assigned or directed by Team
Leader / Supervisor.

- Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of
the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies
and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe
conditions to the proper personnel. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification or equivalent experience in electrical or
mechanical field.
- 4 years' prior maintenance experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop or crouch for at
least an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
machinery, equipment, or parts and work near moving mechanical
parts.
- Ability to accurately use, read, and understand various
precision instruments including, but not limited to: meters,
meggers, and oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of current OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards.
- Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives.
- Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft
Office Products.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with
accuracy and integrity.
- Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse
workforce.
