He/She becomes an integralpart of each assigned account, understanding the customers' business and needs,ensuring our role as their primary supplier.Job Duties---Learn and masterthe skills necessary to be a Profit CenterManager through handson training and day to day mentoring.---Visit customer officesand job sites to assess customer needs and potential, to develop andmaintain strong relationships, and to generate and close sales.---Analyze customer data, develop and execute strategies to grow market share and meetor exceed the monthly required GP$ target of $ and GP% target of %.---Process Sales Orders,Bids, Job Information packages, and performall sales functions in accordance with Companypolicy and procedures.---Attend scheduled sales meetings, maintainweekly sales plans and call reports, and keep customer contact files current.---Prospect new customersand alert the Profit Center Manager and Credit Managerof viable prospects for screening.---Maintain product literature files and samplematerial to ensurethe most currentand accurate information is always provided to our customers.---Investigate and resolvecustomer problems; addresspricing deductions and materialreturns timely, exceeding customer expectations and benefiting the ProfitCenter.---Work with the customer, Profit Center Managerand Credit Managerto facilitate payment of all accounts receivable;communicate to the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager any changes in acustomer's business that might cause a credit risk.---Support Inside Salesand all ProfitCenter activities as part of our ProfitCenter Team.---Attend local and state meetingsor conventions to learn about new products,market conditions, and the competition, and to build vendorrelationships.---Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other managementas required.Knowledge, Skills,and Abilities---Able to build and maintain strongworking relationships with customers and their employee team, vendors and co-workers.---Possesses excellent communication and listeningskills, able to persuade.---Comprehensive knowledge of products and value-added servicesoffered.---Driven to continually identifyand pursue new customers and to increasemarket share and profitability of each assignedaccount.---Self-directed with ability to plan and organize effectivesales calls.---Able to learn to operate warehousematerial-handling equipment.---Able to learn and operate (keyboardand mouse) the applicable softwaresystem (Eclipse, Mincron) usedto process orders.---Read, write,speak, and understand English.---Add, subtract, multiply,and divide, using whole numbers,common fractions, and decimals.Education, Training, Experience---High school diplomaor equivalent---Minimum 2+ yearsoutside sales experience, contractor sales preferred---A proper and valid driver'slicense for the vehicle(s) being driven---A driving record that demonstrates good driving skills in compliance with Company policy---Extensive knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center---Use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintainweekly sales plans, call reports, customer contact files, and to analyzecustomer dataPhysical DemandsThe physicaldemands described here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Sitting (in chair) 20%Standing 45%Walking 15%Operating a motor vehicle 20%Lifting Occasionally up to 80 poundsCarrying Occasionally up to 80 poundsPushing/Pulling Occasionally up to 125 poundsControls Use of both hands and arms and use of both feet andlegsStrength level ModerateThe following movements and senses are required in this job:Hand and finger dexterity, stooping, kneeling, talking,hearing, near vision,far vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and depthperception.Environmental ConditionsThe incumbent is exposedto the following conditions in the job:Warehouses with no climate control, potentially hazardousequipment (such as forklift trucks, mechanical lift gates, hand tools, manualmaterial handling equipment, ladders, and rubber retention straps).
