Production Trainer ($21/HR)
Department: Production Reports to: Production SuperintendentPurpose & Scope: Train new hires in their assigned positions.Principle Responsibilities: Work daily with all new hires to train them in their assigned positions.Teach proper set up, troubleshooting, and operation of machinesTeach proper technique to trimmers, product handlers, etc.Facilitate a smooth transition for new hires into their respective positions, answering questions and mentoring new hires in their positions.Present and walk-though job specific Standard Work ProceduresComplete and verify job competency sheets based on each job, and verify successful completion of qualifying period with supervisor and maintenanceLearn all jobs on the floor over a period of timeTeach all new hires Standard Operating Procedures for their assigned positionsWork closely with maintenance to ensure that machines are set up correctlyMaintain daily communication with dozens of employees at a time, answering questions and being overall helpful to new hires, as well as other members of the training team.Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Spends majority of time on plant floor.Requirements: Experience: Experience in a fast paced environment, ever changing environment Only internal candidates will be considered for this positionSpecial Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-motivatedPersonable, helpful, and friendly demeanorStrong Customer Service SkillsStrong time management and organizational skill; Ability to multitask Able to adapt to an ever-changing environmentMust have no more than 3 attendance points.
