Job Description:
HCA Healthcare invites applicants for the Nurse Extern position
in our Cardiology Stepdown unit. This PRN (as-needed) role supports
our dedicated team of healthcare professionals in providing
top-tier cardiac care. The position combines clinical education
with practical experience in a supportive, patient-centric
environment. The Nurse Extern will work closely with experienced
nurses and healthcare team members to deliver critical care and
monitor patients recovering from cardiac procedures. Assist in the
monitoring and care of patients in the Cardiology Stepdown unit.
Record and communicate patient condition as appropriate using
computerized documentation systems. Participate in
interdisciplinary team meetings to provide coordinated patient
care. Support the healthcare team under the supervision of
experienced nurses. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized
environment for patients. Strong foundational nursing skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent
communication and documentation skills Proficient in using
healthcare technology and systems Adaptive to changing situations

Certification Active enrollment in a Nursing program with
