charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 1:1 for CVICU and
1:2-3 for ICU - Travel experience Description: This is a night
shift position in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will
be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill
patients. The nurse will manage a patient load of 1:1 in CVICU and
up to 1:3 in ICU settings. The position requires the ability to
interpret and manage dysrhythmias. The nurse will care for patients
with multisystem organ dysfunction and other critical conditions.
Experience with advanced equipment such as intra-aortic balloon
pumps and continuous IV sedation is essential. The nurse will be
involved in the care of ventilated patients and the interpretation
of arterial blood gases. Isolation precautions and adherence to
safety protocols are mandatory. The nurse should be prepared to
float to other critical care areas within the organization.
Additional skills include care of patients post-cardiac surgery,
arterial line management, and central line care. The unit supports
interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and pharmacy
services. The overall patient population includes adults and
geriatrics with various cardiac and medical diagnoses. Requirements
