Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,012 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, telemetry Must-Have: Telemetry competency Ability to manage 6-7 patients depending on the shift Experience in urology and bowel care Description: This is an opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg specialty. The nurse will work in a general surgery unit with a total of 44 beds. The unit staff consists of approximately 75 team members. On day shifts, the staffing calls for 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 unit secretary. Night shifts require 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 unit secretary. Patient ratios are 1:6 on day shift and 1:7 on night shift. Common equipment used in the unit includes telemetry, PCA, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, TPN, tube feeds, and urinary catheters. The EMR system used is Cerner. Candidates must possess telemetry competency and experience managing urology and bowel care patients. Skills preferred include proficiency in TPN, PCA, wound vac therapy, tube feeding, colostomy and urostomy care, and various surgical post-operative care. A positive, engaging demeanor and effective communication skills are essential for this role. The dress code requires navy blue pants and navy blue or white scrub tops, along with white undershirts if needed. There will be six weekend shifts required over a six-week schedule.
