Orthodontist at NC Pediatric Dentistry, you will play a crucial
role in enhancing the dental health and aesthetics of our young
patients. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, prevent,
and treat dental and facial irregularities, ensuring that each
child receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
You will collaborate closely with a team of dental professionals to
develop comprehensive treatment plans that promote optimal oral
health. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families
about orthodontic procedures and the importance of maintaining good
dental hygiene. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to
building confident smiles and improving the overall well-being of
our pediatric patients. Minimum Qualifications: Doctor of Dental
Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from
an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited orthodontic
residency program. Valid state dental license to practice
orthodontics. Preferred Qualifications: Board certification by the
American Board of Orthodontics. Experience working with pediatric
patients in a dental setting. Familiarity with digital orthodontic
technologies and software. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough
examinations and assessments of patients' dental and facial
structures. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
for orthodontic care. Utilize advanced orthodontic techniques and
technologies, including braces and aligners. Monitor patient
progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Educate
patients and their families on orthodontic procedures, care, and
maintenance. Skills: The required skills for this position include
strong diagnostic abilities, which are essential for accurately
assessing patients' orthodontic needs. Excellent communication
skills will be utilized daily to explain treatment options and
procedures to both patients and their families, ensuring they feel
informed and comfortable. Manual dexterity is crucial for
performing precise orthodontic adjustments and procedures.
Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively with a dental
team will enhance the overall patient experience and treatment
outcomes. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with digital
technologies, will allow for more efficient treatment planning and
execution, ultimately benefiting patient care.
