Registered Nurse - Telemetry – UHC Staffing Registered Nurse -
Telemetry Location: Asheville, NC Start Date: 02-16-2026 End Date:
05-18-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Rotating
nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (Night); includes every-other-weekend
coverage (approximately 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) Hours

do best helping people heal. Roles & Responsibilities Deliver
compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a med-surg
telemetry unit Continuously monitor and assess telemetry patients
and respond to changes in condition Administer medications and
treatments safely and on schedule Start peripheral IVs and perform
accurate dressing changes Document care thoroughly and clearly in
Cerner PowerChart Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
to coordinate care and discharge planning Support unit flow by
floating to other medical-surgical areas or ED holding when needed
Step into charge nurse responsibilities when called upon to lead
and support colleagues Qualifications Active RN license in the
state of practice or compact RN license (as applicable) Minimum 2
years of nursing experience (medical-surgical and telemetry
experience preferred) BLS certification (required) Hands-on
experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation Proven
skills in peripheral IV starts and wound/dressing care Comfortable
using Cerner PowerChart or similar electronic medical record
systems Ability to work night shifts and scheduled weekends as
required Team-player attitude, positive approach, and a willingness
to help others Knowledge & Skills Telemetry monitoring and cardiac
rhythm recognition Medical-surgical nursing practices and patient
assessment Peripheral IV insertion and IV pump familiarity (Baxter
pumps) Wound care, dressing changes, and wound vac familiarity Use
of SCDs and primo-fit devices Clear, timely documentation in Cerner
PowerChart Strong communication and teamwork skills Adaptability to
float to other med-surg units and ED holding areas Benefits
