JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Physician Hospitalist • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Marion, VA • Service Setting: Inpatient Community Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 11/3/2025 Ongoing (6 months minimum) • Clinical Shift Schedule: 7a 7p, flexible schedule COVERAGE DATES • Starting 11/3/2025 • Ongoing assignment, minimum 6 months PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: Day rounder model • Admissions: Yes • Rounding: Included • Case Mix: General inpatient hospitalist care FACILITY INFORMATION • Trauma Level: No Trauma • EMR System: Epic • Specialty Backup Available: Available • Support Staff Available: RNs, support staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: No • Credentialing Timeline: 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General hospitalist procedures • ATLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Virginia state medical license (required), DEA pending or active • Board: Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM, ABFM, ABEM, AOBEM accepted; ABPS not accepted) • DEA: Active DEA required • Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS • Experience: Residency trained from accredited university • Other Qualifications: EPIC EMR proficiency DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide inpatient hospitalist coverage on a 7a 7p schedule • Perform admissions, rounding, and patient management • Collaborate with nursing and specialty backup teams • Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards
