Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Tazewell County & Buchanan County,
VA Service Setting: Correctional Facilities Coverage Type: Clinical
(Telehealth available; onsite preferred) Coverage Period: 1 year
Clinical Shift Schedule: 40 hours/week (Specific days TBD) COVERAGE
DATES 1-year assignment (exact start date TBD) PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: Adults Phone Consults: Yes Provider should be
available 24/7 for emergency consultations Case Mix: General
Psychiatry (correctional population) FACILITY INFORMATION Office
Equipment Available: Telehealth equipment available Support Staff
Available: Nurse Practitioners COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD
Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered JOB
REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Virginia license Board: Board
Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry DEA: Active DEA
Certification Certifications: NPI Experience: No history of
malpractice or disciplinary actions Other Qualifications: Ability
to handle correctional population and emergency phone consults
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide psychiatric evaluations and
medication management Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and
Chief Psychiatrist Deliver care either onsite or via telehealth (as
applicable) Be available for 24/7 emergency consultations via phone
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (when specified)
