• Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Location: Holston Valley Medical Center, 130 W Ravine Rd, Kingsport, TN 37660 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 4x10-Hour (06:30 AM - 05:00 PM) Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend On-Call: Yes Compensation for 40 hours: $2,400.00 Per Week
  • Weekly Gross: $2,400.00 Per Week
  • On W2(Taxable): $800.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
  • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,600.00 Per Week Facility Overview:
    • Facility Type: Acute Care Community Hospital
    • Number of Endo Rooms: 2
    • Daily Census: Approx. 13 patients
    • Charting System: Epic
    • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
    • Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious exemptions allowed) Required Experience:
      • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Endoscopy
      • Endoscopy Tech experience required (including ERCP, bronchoscopy, and GI procedures)
      • Experience in inpatient, outpatient, pre/post-procedure, and portable/bedside cases
      • Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA ACLS (Required)
      • Travel Experience: Not required (First-time travelers accepted)
      • Must live 100+ miles from the facility
      • Must be willing to actively participate in nursing student education and support as part of the hospital's academic mission. Required Skills & Procedures: Pre-Procedure:

        • Performing 12 Lead EKGs Post-Procedure:
          • Airway Management
          • Recovery from Conscious Sedation
          • Recovery from Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) Procedures Performed:
            • Bronchoscopy
            • Colonoscopy
            • Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
            • Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
            • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
            • Esophageal Varices Banding
            • Sclerotherapy
            • Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)
            • Scrubbing and Circulating Equipment Used:
              • Electrosurgical units (ERBE)
              • Balloon Dilators
              • Bronchoscopy cart/supplies
              • Disposable grounding pads
              • Lithotripters
              • Polyp snares
              • Foreign body equipment
              • Forceps Clinical Skills:
                • Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management
                • Conscious Sedation Monitoring
                • Medication Administration including Opioid Analgesics
                • Specimen Handling/Labeling
                • Documentation using Epic and Provation Radius Rule: 100 miles from the facility.
