It takes a very special individual to provide for the needs of others.The OpportunityThe Lead Caregiver ensures clients have top quality care and works diligently to maintain continuity of care while meeting our highest standards of service. The responsibility of the Lead Caregiver is to provide backup support to the Senior Solutions team on a consistent and ongoing basis. The Lead Caregiver will provide quality care to clients, report pertinent information to the immediate Supervisor in regards to client condition and possible plan of care updates, and assist the immediate Supervisor with tasks to support department operations. This role could include a combination of in-home caregiving and office administrative duties.Responsibilities and DutiesReports to the branch office to pick up company vehicle (if needed) no later than 9am every morning to receive the day's schedule if their manager has not already contacted them prior to 9am.Provides hands-on care, which may include assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, light housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, linen changes, transportation, errands, or other reasonable duties as assignedReads the client's care plan and assessments and provides consistent quality care based upon the care plan for each clientAdheres to all company policies, including dress code with proper PPE, time off, call outs, etc.Clocks in and out of every shift they work on the appropriate systems associated with the client or clients they are servicingObserves clients to recognize changes in their behavior or health, then notifies the appropriate personnel of Senior Solutions Home Care if necessaryMust commit to doing all continuing education required for the role (minimum expectation is 12 hours per year)Assist with Daily Business OperationsAssist with Admissions paperwork for new clients.Mentor and provide training/shadowing to other CaregiversTravel to client homes to correct issues with tablets also assist in maintaining PERS battery checksInstall PERS as backup.Deliver Meals as backupFlexible Scheduling for covering emergency Caregiver staffing issues.Meet physical and sensory requirements stated below and be able to work in the described environment.Partner with HR to Assist with Orientation on gait belt, lift and transfer, Utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics training only. Ambulate and transfer clients, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.CompensationLead Caregivers will be paid hourlyCompany vehicle will be made available for travel as appropriateMileage reimbursement eligible for use of personal carLead caregivers are guaranteed 30 hours, with the expectation that a minimum of 20 hours will be working directly with clients, providing hands-on careBenefitsFlexible schedulingPaid travel timeMedical, dental, vision, and additional benefitsWeekly pay (on-demand) availableOn the job training and continuing educationPaid onboarding and training1.5x wages on holidays (New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day)CNA tuition reimbursement programUnlimited referral bonus programCaregiver of the MonthCareer advancement opportunities Requirements High School Diploma (preferred)Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care skillsCurrent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred but not required1 year of caregiving experience (required)Willing and able to complete a robust video training program provided by Senior SolutionsAbility to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formsSuccessful completion of required training (initial and ongoing)A love for the senior communityA compassionate and upbeat attitudeStrong commitment to reliability and ethical behaviorAbility to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours per dayAbility to lift 30 poundsAbility to accurately and safely operate a Hoyer lift.Possesses a valid driver's license (required)Possesses a valid second form of ID, such as a social security cardMust have reliable transportation with the ability to cover your branch office county.Car insurance (required)Willing to maintain skills through continued educationComplete the training requirements for Level 1-3 Caregivers.Must be able to pass a background check and drug testing per company standardsCurrent employees can be considered after 90 days of employment if in excellent standingMust have a smartphoneWork EnvironmentRequired to work on a rotating weekend (Sat and Sun) schedule (at least 2 weekends a month).The Lead Caregiver will provide services in the homes of their assigned clients.The Lead Caregiver may also provide services to clients in a hospital, rehabilitation, or assisted living setting.The Lead Caregiver must be willing to work on a flexible hourly basis, including days, nights, weekends, and split shifts.Frequent local and regional travel is required for this position Salary Description $14 - $15 / hour
