BAE Systems, one of the world s leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is currently hiring a Project Control Manager Remote/Onsite Hybrid to support the Ordnance Systems Inc. (OSI) business. Support the Modernization program, striving to maintain and enhance our country's military readiness in a variety of new construction, sustainment, and retrofit projects. Serve as a leading member of the Program Management Office (PMO) in support of the OSI Modernization program. This Position reports directly to the manager of the PMO Manager. Support project management in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, and complexity.
Participate in the development, maintenance, and/or tracking of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Control Accounts, Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB), transactional cost collection, cost and schedule performance, integrated reporting, forecasting Estimates at Completion (EAC), Earned Value Management (EVMS), and implementation of corrective action.
Lead a team of project control analysts of varying skill levels to successful achievement of goals. Plan, Organize, review and present monthly project cost and schedule reporting.
The successful candidate will also provide direct project control support for their own portfolio to fill in gaps.
Review, analyze, and interpret project baselines, Estimates at complete (EACs), and a variety of variance analyses.
Maintain a strong understanding of Modernization portfolio, develop and present various portfolio reporting artifacts.
Establish, maintains, implement and audits cost and schedule management (including change management) activities for projects to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and plans.
Drive project change management process to properly document scope and/or unforeseen changes to cost and/or schedule basis
Maintain a strong understanding of Modernization portfolio, develop and present various portfolio reporting artifacts.
Work with scheduling and data/collaboration managers in strategy toward the success of the PMO.
Work with pricing and proposal teams in the generation of Basis of Estimate and other proposal and pre-execution efforts.
Work and interface with Finance, AP, Contracts, Subcontracts, other functional areas as well as customers to ensure successful monitoring and controlling of all Modernization projects with regards to cost and schedule and associated forecasts.
Develop, refine and enhance project control group policies and procedures.
Identify and provide suggestions for process improvements.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience or equivalent experience
  
  
• 
  Experience in Program/Project Controls
  
  
• 
  Strong knowledge of the lifecycle of projects preferably in a government contracting environment
  
  
• 
  Strong demonstrated Experience developing Estimates at Complete (EACs)
  
  
• 
  Experience in Business/Financial Analysis, Forecasting, Planning
  
  
• 
  Experience in Program/Project Management: Scheduling, Costing, Budgeting, Estimating, Monitoring
  
  
• 
  Experience in the successful implementation of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  
  
• 
  Ability to identify and analyze cost variances
  
  
• 
  Ability to prepare periodic performance reports on medium to large projects
  
  
• 
  Skills in Data Analytics, Reporting, and Database Cost Collection and/or ERP Systems
  
  
• 
  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with primary focus in MS Excel
  
  
• 
  Experience in leading a diverse group of professionals in a fast-paced hybrid/remote environment
  
  
• 
  Self-starter, motivated thought leader with a drive toward attention to detail and continuous process improvement.

  Strong Knowledge of FAR and GAAP

  Strong Written and oral communication skills required

  Experience working closely with project managers and project team leads
  
  
  Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  Experience in facility modernization and construction preferred.
  Experience working with MS Project and Primavera
  Experience with DoD or other Government contracts strongly preferred.
  Experience with design build construction
  Working Knowlege of PowerBI and SharePoint
