All while understanding that together we are even better. /n /n/n /n Schedule: full time /n /n/n /n Shift: days /n /n/n /n The role you’ll contribute: /n /n/n /n Assists surgical technologists by preparing operating rooms and appropriately arranging surgical equipment and supplies. This is a position for Surgical Technology Students prior to their graduation. It is a temporary position that concludes on the date of their graduation from the surgical technology program. /n /n/n /n The value you’ll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n Under direct and constant supervision of a Certified Surgical Technologist or First Assistant the Surgical Technologist Assistant: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Ensures operating room is sterile /n /n - Field preparation and maintenance /n /n - Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures /n /n - Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients /n /n - Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases /n /n - Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures /n /n - Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracks instrument counts throughout procedures /n /n/n /n/n /n Qualifications /n /n The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Up-to-date knowledge of surgical instruments and supplies /n /n - Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry /n /n - Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and local, state, and national laws /n /n - Completion of at least one semester of clinical in an accredited school of surgical technology required /n /n/n /n/n /n 2/28/22 /n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
