FeaturedMRI Technologist *SIGN ON BONUS* (FT) Kingsport, TNJob ID: 004C26HOLSTON VALLEY MEDICAL CENTERImaging - SAT MRIFull-time (scheduled 72 hrs or more per pay period) - WeekendsJob DescriptionScope of PositionPerforms a variety of duties in preparing patients for MRI imaging studies on patients from adolescent to geriatrics. Operates MRI scanner and computer to produce images of specific areas to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Studies physician prescribed requisitions to determine body area to be scanned and the sequence to be used. Gives patient instruction on procedure method. Injects IV contrast for organ enhancement, under the direction of Radiologist. The care provided to each patient is specific to the patient's particular physical, age specific and psychosocial needs. The patient populations served by this position includes adolescent, adult and geriatric.MSHA expects that every team member will role model Patient-Centered Care behaviors and be guided by MSHA's Values and the Principles of Patient-Centered Care.It is vital that an individual in this position be capable of good communication skills. Must be registered by ARRT. Advanced certification in MRI preferred. MRI technologist will be taught on the job, if promoted from within. Must be BLS certified.
